Cancellations:  All no-shows or cancellations with less than one month's notice will be billed for the reserved meals and lodging.  If you choose to leave early, you still pay for all reserved meals and lodging.  Stand-ins are acceptable. If there is a family emergency or the hunter is ill, the $500 animal deposit and the payment for reserved lodging and meals will be returned. A work or business related emergency will not constitute a reason for a return of the deposit or a refund of the payment for reserved meals and lodging.

Field Dressing:  We provide this service at no extra cost.  Field dressing means removing the entrails and does not include skinning. Caping, skinning, meat processing, shipping, gratuities, and taxidermy are not included in the Trophy Fee.

Meat Processing and Taxidermy: The meat processing costs and taxidermy costs, including shipping, are the responsibility of the hunter or host company. We can supply a list of other ranches/outfitters who might give you more options than the two below.

Option 1. We will field dress your animal and take the carcass to Uvalde Meat Processing for caping and further meat processing. The finished products will be shipped to your chosen location. The cape, including horns or antlers, will be picked up by Graves Taxidermy. The taxidermy work will be done by Graves Taxidermy.

Option 2. We will field dress your animal and take the carcass to Uvalde Meat Processing for caping and quartering. The cape, including horns or antlers, can be shipped to your taxidermist. The quarters can be shipped to your meat processor. In some cases, if the timing is right, the cape and meat can be transported by the hunter.

Option 3. We will field dress the animal and the hunter may take the carcass.

The following policies are needed to protect against lost revenue due to hunters wanting a 150+ class Whitetail when we don't specifically market those and due to hunters wanting a specific exotic.

We market Whitetail buck hunts in the 130-150 range. There are bigger bucks than 150 in our pastures, and if a hunter harvests one, we feel we have exceeded his expectations. If a hunter has his heart set on a 150+ buck, I can recommend other ranches that specialize in big antlered bucks, as big as 200+. If the hunter stays for 4 hunts (2 mornings + 2 evenings) and is not given the opportunity to harvest a 130+ buck, the $500 deposit will be refunded or credited against other costs. If any buck is taken, the $500 is credited towards the trophy fee. If the hunter passes on any opportunity to take a 130+ buck and no buck was taken, the deposit of $500 is forfeited. Since we don't sit with the hunter unless requested, we depend on the honesty of the hunter on whether an opportunity to harvest a 130+ buck occurred.

We market Silver and Gold Medal exotics.  If the hunter stays for 4 hunts (2 mornings + 2 evenings) and is not given the opportunity to harvest a Silver or Gold Medal reserved exotic, the $500 deposit will be refunded or credited against other costs. If any reserved exotic is taken, the $500 is credited towards the trophy fee. If the hunter passes on any opportunity to take a reserved Silver or Gold Medal reserved exotic and no reserved exotic was taken, the deposit of $500 is forfeited. Since we are not present for all hunts unless requested, we depend on the honesty of the hunter on whether an opportunity to harvest a Silver or Gold Medal reserved exotic occurred.
